It reminds me a bit of Andrew Hill and Anthony Braxton’s recordings with larger ensembles. It’s really nice stuff. One for the Whistler was a stand-out track for me, but the whole album is worthy listening.

Sure there are plenty of Charlie Parker “best of” collections available, however this new release features recordings from the Savoy label, where Parker made some his finest and most famous recordings. Plus it’s available in 24/96 with great sound and it’s available on both Tidal and Qobuz. BIRD LIVES!!!
