Anton Schwartz - Flash Mob (2014)

I missed this fine recording when it was first released but I’ve fixed that now, very nice indeed. Available on Tidal and Qobuz.

This is one of my old favorites. It’s fun to see it in vinyl.

Do you know this one?

I just popped open and cleaned this album. Miles Davis Birth of the Blue. My what a good album. I was kind of just expecting another set of trumpet solo’s but with cannonball adderley, john coltrane and bill evans along with paul chambers and james cobb, this album really is excellent. I grew up playing trumpet in the Philly, PA suburbs and Miles was a hero growing up. Excellent spin!

That vinyl was out for such a short period. Mine is a copy of my brother’s vinyl. I have the more recently released digital version as well. The vinyl sounds better

mine not more…sounds nearly like it´s looking

The juxtaposition of Art Farmers bell like trumpet with Jim Halls gentle guitar is magic.
