Thanks Dan, wonder why?
Here are three more incredible Jack DeJohnette recordings to help give you some idea of why DeJohnette was a jazz giant. All three are available on Tidal and Qobuz.
My Roon’s DeJohnette discography page shows over 500 recordings so there are of plenty of outstanding recordings to choose from, luckily both Tidal and Qobuz each have many DeJohnette recordings. DeJohnette is one of those artists that one can spend hours using Roon to discover and explore. Try it and you will soon find out that DeJohnette’s great career is a mirror into the past 60+ years of jazz.
Never tire either
NativeDSD has a Halloween sale this weekend, so I had a minor shopping accident. Amongst other albums, I picked up these two - DSD256 and DSD512 respectively.
I always enjoy these Dutch jazz singers and Ms. Vos doesn’t disappoint. Smokey, late night jazz. Available on Tidal and Qobuz.
Great record
the time, the whole world must have an Ovation (the type of guitar, they are playing)…
got my first and only one (1719CL)10 years later but gave it away because the neck was too small for me
I haven’t listened to this album for quite a long time. I had forgotten how much I like it, and what a good performance and recording/mastering it is.
Just downloaded it from Sound Liaison as a 24/96 wav file. Very nice music, and the recording is stunning. Thanks for the suggestion.
