Listened to some John Coltrane albums this morning.
I find that I like his earlier, traditional and structured albums. However, his later albums, which are more freestyle improvisation, I don’t really enjoy. Finding it to be a cacophony of noise that just seems to grate with me.
Notwithstanding this, I enjoy exploring Jazz and will still listen in full to new albums that I discover through this and other forums. And to be honest, the same can be said for all artists, some albums you like and some you don’t. But that’s the fun of music, as each of us are different. So thanks for the postings of what you’re listening to.
Really enjoy Qobuz as a source of great Jazz and also Jazz24 Radio which over the years has led me to explore new artists and enjoy a greater diversity of Jazz.

Thanks for this. Have all of them, apart from Black Pearls. Doesn’t seem to be available on Qobuz, but I’m toying with the idea of trying Tidal as well, as they have a 30 day free trial.

Signed up for a 30 day free trial with Tidal today. They had an offer to extend this to 60 days for 4 PLN, so went with that.
