Now Playing Some Jazz

I bought my pre-amp and amp from Upscale Audio, so I have no trouble getting tubes.

Stiil, after a few days of listening over headphones it’s good to get back to whole room speakers. :sunglasses:

1961 Blakey, very engaging.

Epic, one of my all time favorites.

Fantastic new release from this quartet of jazz masters, all in their early 50s. State of the art modern jazz. Available in high resolution on Qobuz and MQA high resolution on Tidal.

The Blue Train complete masters was just released. I’m waiting patiently for my vinyl copies to arrive. The previous vinyl (and CD) versions I have are just lovely, so I’m interested to see how the new release will compare.

Possibly the best in this continuing series of Muhammad and Younge releases. My only complaint is that it’s only 31 minutes long. Available on Qobuz (in hi-rez) and Tidal

Should’ve known that anyone who had a Zu poster would, of course, have an original Bill Evans box set. I am in awe.

Before there the very wonderful and talented Maria Schneider there was the equally wonderful and talented Toshiko Akiyoshi. Sad to say that there appears to be none of the Toshiko Akiyoshi Lew Tabackin Big Band recordings available on either Tidal or Qobuz. However several of them have been issued on CD.
