Not sure if Jaheim is mentioned earlier in the thread.
Sample “I choose you” by Willie Hutch in a perfect blend.

Agreed. It’s very hard (impossible) to put aside the horrible stories coming out, but it’s also not easy to just forget about the classic music he put out in the past either :confounded: .

If we’re talking R&B music pioneers (music only), his name is close to the top of the list. And that doesn’t just apply to the music he released for himself.

One of his finest moments. Maxwell delivers as well, as always.
I remember a Maxwell gig here in Stockholm 1997. It was in a club called Electric Garden where the stage was 1 meter above the rest of us if I remember correctly. An intimate venue and concert.

I’m jealous. There’s really only two artists I’m desperate to see live - Sade and Maxwell.

Both take forever to make an album and hence both take forever to tour. Sigh. Lol

Haven’t seen Sade live yet. It’s been 7 years since Sade toured, isn’t it?
I am sure there will be another tour if/when she/they release a new album, it’s been 8 years now.

2016, I was on a business to Dallas. Looked for a concert to visit. Saw Kanye West, The Saint Pablo tour, together with the team, many from Pakistan/India that never heard of Kanye. That was a hilarous experience and a great concert :cowboy_hat_face:

I always thought Salaam Remi (multi-instrumentalist, producer, co-writer) brought out the absolute best in her.

A legendary pairing - only for two albums but two classics for sure.

Thanks @HWZ! Silly me - Salaam Remi and Amy produced 3 classic albums.

I’d forgotten about this posthumous one.

Sam Cooke would be tappin his foot to this one. Such a timeless quality.
