NUC 6i3SYH SATA SSD to M.2 SSD. Worth the upgrade?

I have an old NUC 6i3SYH that I run ROCK on… it works pretty well, but it can be a little sluggish when I have a large playlist loaded, or when searching. Especially if I have more than 1 stream active.

I know the 6th gen i3 processor is not exactly a powerhouse, but I am thinking about replacing the internal SATA Samsung 870 SSD with a M.2 Samsung 970.

Is it even worth it?

A faster cpu would probably probably be more beneficial than the nvme drive.

How much RAM is in the NUC? single Ram stick or two?
Do you do a lot of DSP? If so, if you turn it off does it make difference?
I would think either Ram or CPU upgrade.

16gb, two sticks. I do use DSP for EQ and volume leveling

So that tells me CPU upgrade would be the way to go.
