NUC Replacement Questions

I have a 7i7BNC NUC that is giving off death signals, so I am contemplating its replacement.

  1. Are there any NUCS that users would recommend? (PS: With respect, I’m not looking for non-approved kit.)
  2. My old NUC has a oversized (capacity) SSD. If this were your NUC, would you replace everything, including the SSD?

FYI, I intend to rescue the current NUC by replacing the fan and reattaching the heatsink. And, I will also be referencing the Roon approved list of NUCs. I’m interested in the opinions of ‘typical’ Roon users. Many thanks.
