Nucleus - automatically boot after power failure

Roon Core Machine

Nucleus - automatically boot after power failure.

I got a second Nucleus and this one does not automatically reboot after a power failure. (current one does)

How can I change the setting?

This is a BIOS setting. You have to attach a keyboard and screen, reboot, enter the BIOS and change it there. Sorry, I don’t know the details of where in the BIOS or why one of your Nucleuses does it by default and not the other.

If you have many power failures, you should address this as well.

Hey @Urs_Maurer,

Ben with the support team checking in. Are you still running into issues with your Nucleus restarting? If so, we’ll need more information about the power failure as well as the rest of your system setup:

Roon Core Machine

Include your operating system and machine info (Model, CPU, RAM)

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Your network gear (model of routers/switches) and if on WiFi/Ethernet

Connected Audio Devices

Specify what devices you’re using and their connection types, like USB/HDMI/Chromecast, etc.

Number of Tracks in Library

Tell us how large your music library is, eg. “30,000 tracks”

Description of Issue

Tell us about the problem you’re having in as much detail as possible. Screenshots are always appreciated!

@Suedkiez is steering you in the right direction by reviewing your BIOS setting. You can review your BIOs settings by attaching a keyboard and holding F2 during boot up.

With that, sudden power failures can also cause corruption. I’m not able to connect to your core to review diagnostics, so if you could, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader?

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:
