My Nucleus is running RoonOS 1.0 (build 259).
Playback works normally on all endpoints and Roon clients can connect successfully. Music playback is unaffected.
However, every attempt to reinstall the OS fails with the error:
“Something went wrong with the installation. Please check your internet connection and try again.”
Troubleshooting already performed:
Rebooted the Nucleus
Retried OS reinstall multiple times
Verified that the Nucleus has Internet access
Network monitoring shows several hundred MB downloaded during the reinstall process
No firewall blocks detected
No network disconnects or connectivity issues observed during the reinstall.
The Web Administration page reports “Roon Server Software: Not Running”, but the server is clearly running because clients connect and playback works normally.
Please review diagnostics from your side and advise on the cause of the failed OS reinstall.
Thank you.
Thanks for the detailed rundown. Playback working normally and clients connecting successfully makes it clear this is not a general connectivity or server availability problem.
At this point, please try our latest release and let us know if that helps. If the reinstall failure is tied to the build you are on, updating may clear it up.
Please report back after you have tried the latest release, and we will take it from there.
Alright, had time to work with this issue again, and …for some reason the update appeared automatically and installed without an issue this time.
The RoonOS version is now RoonOS:Version 1.0 (build 259) production. Is this the latest and what I should expect to have now? Thanks!
