I recently purchased a Denafrips Ares 2 DAC to alternate with my older Benchmark DAC2 HDG, connected to the USB outpout of my Nucleus.

I noticed the Ares is not preset in Roon’s device database but it works fine, except for random pop sounds before certain tracks.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Try upsampling everything to one data rate for the ares.

Is there any pattern to the tracks showing this behavior?
Does the issue only occur when you switch sample rates?
What happens if you try to upsample all content to the max PCM rate?
