Description of Issue

Nucleus works ok with iPad, Arcam solo uno, but drops sound /skips pieces
Every few seconds then loses Arcam av40 and stop playing. Then recovers av40, but not playing until I press Play and so on…

The problem started when I tried Nucleus with HDMI cable. It looked like Nucleus or av40 could not decide which connection to lose, playback was stopping Avery few second.

I disconnected hdmi reset everything with no success.

For clarification, does this mean that after disconnecting the HDMI and returning to using AirPlay via ethernet to connect to the AV40, you are still experiencing dropouts?

Thanks for response!

Arcam AV40 is Roon-ready, so both av40 and Nucleus connected by high quality Ethernet cables (from Supra Jevning in Sweden) to tp-link ax6000 router. Arcam solo uno is also Roon-ready and works just fine both with Wi-Fi and Ethernet.

My other thought is that this problem coincided with the change of router in time, possibly. Earlier I used tp-link ac1750 with Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and it worked fine for av40 via Ethernet. Then I got ax6000 with Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and I think after that I got this issue.

I tried to change Ethernet cables too from a different brand.

Also, av40 is perfectly working with Tidal connect for the same tracks at the same time. So, technically I don’t need Roon.

Hey @Alexandre_Khapalov,

Thanks for taking the time to write in! I wanted to check in on this thread to see if you were still running into audio drop out issues? Does this happen with specific sample rates? Or, local tracks versus streamed content?

If so, could you please share the specific date, time, and name of track the next time this happens?

I’ll be monitoring this thread for your reply. :+1:
