Nucleus+ hangs and cycles power during boot (ref#71NIX9)

What’s happening?

· My Roon software won't start up

Describe the issue

Roon Nucleus+ Server cancels the boot process, hangs, is unable to connect to network. Power light goes off and on again briefly, in a cycle of about 66 seconds, over hours.

Describe your network setup

The network (2 netgear switches in a bown arrangement / execution) is not the problem

Short explanation:
Roon Nucleus+ Server cancels the boot process, hangs, is unable to connect to network.
Power light goes off and on again briefly, in a cycle of about 66 seconds, over hours.
Needs 0.5h, 1.0h, 2.0h and more hours for the boot process and network access until it works successfully.
If it has network access, it works perfectly, just don’t switch it off, then you have the same disaster again!
In my opinion, the problem is in the boot process, which is always cancelled, ‘the power light goes off briefly and then on again’.

Thanks for reaching out. When this issue happens, what do you see on the Nucleus HDMI output, if anything? Can you repeat the process to get the Nucleus working again and let us know here after you’ve done so? We’ve enabled diagnostics mode for your Nucleus, so hopefully it will be able to deliver a log set for review next time it boots fully.

You are too late.

Yesterday, Monday, the Roon Nucleus+ was still working, i.e. I was able to restart it.

Today, after Reinstall the ‘Operating System’ at around 10:30 Basel time, it no longer boots up.

An attempt is being made to revive the Nucleus+, i.e. it remains switched on overnight, the rooter and the network also remain switched on.

Nothing is displayed on the monitor during the 66 sec. cycle (power light goes off and on again briefly), i.e. no display on the connected monitor!

Please read my last test description, in the email to [## 738508 ##] RMA Request (typeform submission) from 05.Nov.2024, 16:34 Basel Time.

The tests with the USB Ethernet adapter were described there,

rebooting with the USB Ethernet adapter connected did not work.

Rebooting only worked with the device Ethernet port.

Finally, I would like to replace the Nucleus+ motherboard, I would like to do this myself.

Can you please initiate the Roon Labs process for this?
