Hi @hutchp,

Thank you for your post. Diagnostics from the Nucleus indicate that local Roon controllers are visible to the server, but the broker isn’t attempting to connect to the remote. The Nucleus can otherwise reach the RAAT server in the same Mac machine, indicating that the network pathway is intact.

What I’d suggest is to verify that Sequoia isn’t selectively blocking Roon’s local network access on this machine. Navigate to your Mac System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and verify Roon is toggled on.

In your Orbi network settings, make sure that “Disable IGMP Proxying” is toggled off. Also make sure that multicast forwarding is enabled between mesh nodes.

I recommend uninstalling the RoonServer instance on the Mac unless you frequently switch between these servers.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and delete it.

If the copy of the database on your Mac is different than the copy of your database on your Nucleus, then you can restore it with the above Backup any time.

Thank you, Nucleus connected to all devices and ROON Remotes. Sequoia was the culprit. Mahalo
