Nucleus+ I can't add my music

I have the Nucleus+ and I installed a 4tb solid state drive from Samsung. The install went well. When I go to choose music storage folder and add network share it is empty. I have tried adding files from file manager with no luck. I am sure it is my lack of computer knowledge that is the problem, but I am at a loss on what to do next.

Did you use the Web UI and format the drive?

You shouldn’t have to “add a network share” - if you’ve formatted the drive using the Nucleus web UI as Mike suggests, it should show up as Internal Storage directly in Settings > Storage. No need to add a further folder.

Hi @Michael_Finch,

As mentioned, Internal Storage should show up automatically once it has been formatted from the Nucleus Web Administration Interface. Can you confirm that you formatted the drive as mentioned in our Help Center instructions?

Thanks!

If you’ve added the drive, formatted it in the web ui, you’re half way done. Next stage is to copy some music TO the drive… You can copy music to this drive by visiting the network share:

  • From a Windows PC: \NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage
  • From a Mac: smb://NUCLEUS/Data/Storage/InternalStorage

Replace NUCLEUS with NUCLEUSPLUS if you have a Nucleus+
If asked for a username and password, use Guest for both.
