· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices
Describe the issue
Even after the last update my N1 goes into slow mode. Before last reboot the N1 was only used little over 20 hours. Music stops and audio endpoint is lost for some seconds. When endpoint is back the next track in the queue is showing and I need to push play. A reboot fixes the problem for a while. Are you able to check my N1 if it’s working correctly?
Thanks for the report. Can you please let us know the exact local time + date when you experience the next issue? We’ll enable diagnostics mode for your account and look over the error logging for clues.
@noris it just happened, local time: 08.24 1. of May. Before the audio endpoint was lost the gap between songs is getting longer and longer, the flickering light bar going sideways, then comes this “distorted sound “ and music stops. Just over 12 hours since last reboot and it was nighttime, not using the system for 7 hours, but I had a scheduled background analysis.
@noris local time, Oslo, 2107 same day. Music stops and N1 lost audio endpoint for some seconds. Track was Espen Eriksen Tri: A long way from home. This time I want reboot but just keep on playing and see how long it takes before the endpoint is lost again.
@noris May 2. local time Oslo 0927, audio endpoint is lost again and off course music stops, track Two Stones Ahead. This time playing track is not skipped. Longer gaps between songs. I will not reboot but see how often it occurs.
Again! Local time 09.47, track Kasalefkut-hulu, audio endpoint lost. Gaps between tracks are getting worse. Only solution now is to reboot, 1 day, 1 hour, 19 minutes and 20 seconds since last reboot. My guess is that the scheduled background work in the night is a factor here.
I have now turned off Scheduled background audio analysis, and put it in Throtteled mode, to see if it changes anything on the performance.
May 3. local time 16.03 audio endpoint lost. This happened while I was grooming some of my albums. Track stopped playing and when the endpoint came back there was a new track and no option to go back to previous track for another play. Will not reboot yet.
Update: local time 16.12 audio endpoint lost again, no grooming just playing. Now I have to reboot This time 1 day, six hours and 19 minutes. There is a small difference when turning off the scheduled background audio analysis.
Update 2. now I have totally turned off background audio analysis and only keeping on demand in throttle mode
Update 3: May 4. local time 06.57 loste audio endpoint, about 14 hours since last drop out. This time I could go back to the track that played when the drop out occurred, Night Gardens with Sakamoto a 96/24 track. Will not reboot.
Update 4: local time 15.48 lost audio endpoint for the second time in a short time. Time for reboot , 23 hours and 33 minutes since last.
To better assist our development team with this case, could you please upload a copy of a fresh backup that is exhibiting this behavior on the latest Roon build?
First, update to the latest version, and then make a fresh backup. From there, compress the backup and upload it to the link below:
Thank you for this @BergeP, our development team has shared that there are some improvements soon to be released in an upcoming update that should help you and your performance issues.
