For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.
· Roon Server is on, but I'm still having trouble connecting.
What do you see on your screen?
· "Looking for your Roon Server"
Please try to restart your network setup by unplugging, waiting 30 seconds and then replugging in your networking gear.
· No, the issue remains the same
Please select how you've connected your Roon Server to the internet
· Roon Server is connected by *Ethernet*
Have you checked your firewall settings to ensure that Roon is allowed through?
· Roon still won't connect even after checking this aspect
Have you verified that Roon Server is on the same subnet as your Remotes?
· My Remotes and Server are on the same subnet and I still can't connect
Sometimes the issues can be resolved with a reinstall of your Roon Remote app. Let's try to perform a reinstall and see if it helps.
· I've reinstalled the Roon Remote but it did not help
What is the operating system of your Roon Server host machine?
· *Nucleus*

Describe the issue
Issue Description: On the rear Ethernet port, the green light is flashing , and the yellow (amber) light is constantly on . However, the Nucleus+ does not appear in my router's DHCP client list, and I cannot access it via any network method, such as the Web management interface or through the Roon Remote app. This prevents me from performing any software resets or configurations. Troubleshooting Steps Already Attempted: 1. Verified power stability and restarted the device multiple times by holding the power button for 5-10 seconds to shut down, then powering back on. 2. Replaced the Ethernet cable with a known working Cat6 cable and tried different ports on the router. 3. Restarted the router and checked its settings: DHCP is enabled, no MAC address filtering or port security is active, and there are no double NAT issues (single router setup). 4. Attempted to discover the IP address using network scanning tools like Fing app and Advanced IP Scanner, but the device was not detected. 5. Tried direct connection: Connected my computer directly to the Nucleus+ Ethernet port (using auto-MDIX) and set a static IP in the same subnet, but still could not access the Web interface. 6. Connected an HDMI cable from the Nucleus+ to a monitor/TV to view the IP address or boot information. However, the display shows no output whatsoever—no boot screen, no IP display, and no error messages. I tested the HDMI cable and monitor with other devices to confirm they are functioning.
Describe your network setup
Model: Roon Nucleus+ Rev B , Firmware/Software Version: it's inaccessible. Network Setup: Connected via Ethernet to a Xiaomi Redmi Router AX6000 in a home network environment.
Thank you for the detailed report — that’s very helpful.
Based on everything you’ve described (no DHCP lease, no web UI access, no discovery by network scanners, and no HDMI output at all), the next important thing we need to clarify is whether the Nucleus+ is actually completing the hardware boot process.
Quick check (important)
When you power on the Nucleus+ with an HDMI cable connected:
Do you see anything at all on the screen?
BIOS/boot logo
Text output
Even a brief flash before the screen goes black
If there is no BIOS or boot output whatsoever, this strongly points to a hardware-level failure (for example: motherboard, CPU, or power-related issues). In that case, software recovery or network troubleshooting will unfortunately not be possible.
If there is no BIOS / HDMI output
The best next step will be to contact our RMA team, who handle all Nucleus hardware-related cases.
Please open the Typeform link below and select:
“Other”
then “This issue is related to a physical component”
I want to try replacing the motherboard battery. Can you tell me where the battery of the Roon Nucleus+ Rev B is located on the motherboard? Please give me picture guidance.
Before attempting to replace the CMOS (motherboard) battery, could you please first confirm one important point:
Do you see the BIOS screen at all during boot when an HDMI display is connected?
This includes:
a BIOS logo
text output
or even a brief flash on the screen
If the system does not reach or display the BIOS, replacing the CMOS battery unfortunately will not help, as the issue would be occurring before the BIOS stage and would indicate a deeper hardware failure.
Once you’ve confirmed whether the BIOS is accessible, we can advise on the appropriate next steps.
I can’t see any information on the screen during boot when an HDMI display is connected.
I have contacted your RMA team in accordance with your instructions.
Looking forward to the response from the RMA team.
Since there is no HDMI/BIOS output and you’ve already submitted the RMA request, the next steps will be handled directly by our RMA team.
All further communication will take place via email, where they’ll guide you through the process.
