Nucleus - no european sales?

Unfortunately I just recieved a message from the danish Roon importer, that the new Nucleus One (and other Nucleus devices) will not be sold outside the US, but exclusively via the Roon website in the US.
Is that correct - or has the mentioned importer been misinformed?
In this case - if that information is correct - it means that buyers outside USA have to pay costum duties and import taxes, which after all gives a huge additional price.
If so - are there alternative buying options, if the device is not to be sold through dealers outside the US?
Will Roon have, for example, an european website from which it can be ordered - just like the US website?

I don’t know about the website. Roon has said this:

As for customs duties, import taxes and so on, they have to be paid regardless of who does the import to the EU. (Assuming that EU units are not going to be built within the EU). Though of course it’s more convenient to buy from an EU website.

I hope it’s an error , I can see no logic in restricting a product to a geographical area , it makes no commercial sense and quite opposed to how earlier Nucleus models were distributed

I can understand if currently demand exceeds supply (esp the Nucleus 1) that expanding into other countries wouldn’t make sense until stock availability grows.

I am sure @danny or @jamie will comment soon.

Sounds good :hugs::pray:
Do you estimate when this european website will be up and running?

While I can provide no estimate, I would be very unhappy if it wasn’t by end of the year.

Will the upcomming eu website coinside with the time, when the production quantity honors an expected demand in the rest of the world?

Tripped up by success maybe , demand outstripping supply . A nice problem to have
