· I can't connect to my Roon server (a Nucleus+) from any device I've used to connect to it in the past (iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro). All of these devices reside on the same LAN as the Nucleus+. A few days ago, I turned all the devices off while I was away from my home for a few days. When I turned them back on, the Nucleus+ was no longer on the network.

Tell us about your home network

· Router: Netgear Orbi RB50 Mesh system (the Nucleus+ and router are in the same room). The router is connected by 20 feet of Cat 5 cable to an Ether Regen switch, which is connected to the Nucleus+ by 4 feet of Cat 6 cable. I use Nord VPN. The Nucleus+ worked fine in this configuration when I turned off everything except the router a week ago. Yesterday, when I turned the system back on and started the Roon app on my iPad, I got the "Waiting for your Roon server...," message. I checked the connections to the Nucleus+, which were good, waited for six or seven minutes and then turned off the Nucleus+ using the power switch. I got the same message after I restarted the Nucleus and am still getting it.

When a Nucleus fails to appear on the network after a power cycle, the most effective way to diagnose the root cause is to see exactly what the machine is doing during its boot sequence. To do this, we need to perform a quick diagnostic monitor test.

Please perform the following HDMI Test:

1. Unplug the Nucleus+ from power.
2. Connect the Nucleus+ directly to a TV or computer monitor using an HDMI cable.
3. Plug the Nucleus+ back into power and turn it on.
4. Watch the monitor as the device attempts to boot.

Could you please take a clear photo of whatever is displayed on that screen and share it with us here?

Thanks for confirming there is no HDMI output. If you’ve double-checked that there is no screen sizing options preventing the full screen from displaying (overscan feature), then this is indeed most likely a hardware issue. To get in touch with our RMA team, please fill out the form listed below:
