Nucleus not starting after 1.7 install

Nucleus (May 2018)
IPad 6th Gen 13.1.3 to control the Nucleus

Modem Asus DSL-AC68U to TPLink MC200CM to fibre cable to TPLink MC200CM into Nucleus

USB into Oppo BDP105AU

Description Of Issue

Music stopped playing and was prompted to install 1.7. Installed 1.7 (500) but got stuck on the screen wanting a device update and the Ipad not updated to 1.7. I could not get anywhere from here. I found my way into Roon and clicked on the Re-install button for a complete fresh re-install of the operating system (I think). A black square came up with little squares moving around to indicate that something was happening. But nothing happened after about half an hour. I went out of this. Now the Ipad shows: “Choose your Roon Core” with the Roon logo with moving lines and “Looking for your Roon Core”
I am not a computer geek so I probably made a big boo boo by clicking on the Re-install button. Hope this is not too big a problem to fix. Thanks

Hi @David_Curr,

Welcome to the community! Can I please request that you let me know if you can still access your Nucleus via the Web UI? If so, can you please post a screenshot of this page here? Thank you.

Hi Norris

Thanks for the quick response.

It seems I cannot access the Nucleus via the web UI.

With Nucleus on and Oppo on:

On the Ipad I click on the Roon icon as usual and it says:

“Choose your Roon core”

“Looking for your Roon Core”

“Configure Roon OS devices on your network”

If I click on “Configure Roon OS devices on your network” it says:

“Configure Roon OS”

“Searching for devices . . “

Nothing happens now

If I click on “Done”, it goes back to “Choose your Roon core”

On my windows 7 computer if I click on the Roon icon:

The Roon quote comes up like from John Coltrane

Then the screen goes black behind this.

Then everything disappears and the usual blue Windows screen shows.

Thanks

David Curr

Hi @David_Curr,

Can you please open up a web browser and try typing in //NUCLEUS/ in the header and see if you are able to access the WebUI that way? Does the Nucleus still have a valid IP address? Is the Nucleus still powered on as in the power button is lightly illuminated)?

Hi Norris
Apologies for the delay - I have been away at work.
The IP address for Nucleus is 192.168.1.17

But, it seems the problem has solved itself. Everything seems to be playing perfectly and Nucleus and IPad are both on 1.7 (500).

Thank you so much for working your magic - most impressive - like Roon
