Are you able to connect your nucleus to a TV via HDMI. It’ll show white text, top left of the screen.
If it shows a IP address it’s on your network. If not, then it’s not.
If it does enter this into a web browser to try and connect to the web-UI of the nucleus. Perform a reboot.
If it doesn’t, connect a keyboard. Hit enter, type resetnetwork (no space) and hit enter. Reboot the nucleus. Report back what you see on the screen.
If there’s any error, post a photo of it.
Your support post says your nucleus is connected via Wi-Fi, can you explain?

Thanks for getting back to me
Sorry, I meant Nucleus is connected via ethernet cable to Synology router.
I know the IP address of the Nucleus, but can’t get to it via a browser. when I try, I get this error message:
This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.166 took too long to respond.
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
When I ping the IP address from my iPad I get the error message “host is down”.
Are there any diagnostics that can be done by connecting a laptop to the Nucleus via hdmi?

No, you need to connect a HDMI computer monitor or TV to see the console screen.
If it’s blank then just let us know, if not then post a screenshot of what is been displayed.

Thanks, guys! I connected TV to the Nucleus via HDMI and got a blank screen, alas.
I tried this in two ways: first, I brought the Nucleus to the TV (in another room) disconnected from the router. I got it to show these words on the menu screen: “Intel NUC”, but nothing else. Then I moved the TV to the other room next to the Nucleus when it’s connected to the Router, and tried that with the HDMI connection. Nothing, just a blank screen. I’ll see if I can send some images.

Hey @Ralph_Rosen ,
If you got a blank screen when the Nucleus was connected to both the router and monitor, you may be experiencing hardware failure on the device. I’d double check cables and ports as a next step, and if the screen is still blank, please get started on the RMA process via this typeform below: To do so, open the Typeform link below and select ‘Other ’ followed by 'This issue is related to a physical component ".
