Okay. Thanks everyone for the support here!
Hello @
Thank you for your report. We attempted to retrieve diagnostics from your Nucleus One, but they are not reaching our servers. To better understand the issue, could you please:
- Share a screenshot of what you see in the Nucleus One web interface.
- Let us know if your iPad/iPhone redirects you to a login page in the Roon app when trying to connect.
- Test if you can connect to the Core from any other devices, such as a Windows/Mac computer or an Android device.
This information will help us narrow down the cause.
Before the Nucleus One, my iMac was the Core. The migration to the Nucleus One worked flawlessly, but now it doesn’t. Reactivating Roon on the iMac actually worked. Switching back to the Nucleus didn’t. However, I’ve since deleted Roon on the Mac, hoping that would solve the problem.

Hey @he.brandt,
Thanks for the additional information!
To confirm, when you attempt to connect, do you get stuck in an initialization? Had you attempted a backup restore from your Mac and had success, but failed to connect afterwards?
We’ve enabled additional diagnostics on your Nucleus, the next time you bring it online, we should be able to review a fresh report.
Thank you! ![]()
Hello,
When launching the Roon app on an iPhone or iPad, the Nucleus starts initializing until the “Connect” button appears. When clicking the “Connect” button, the Nucleus does not establish a connection to the device. It remains in a loop, as shown in the last screenshots.
When I first started using it, I transferred the backup from my Mac to the Nucleus. That worked. Now I’ve been able to transfer the backup to the Nucleus again, but I can’t establish a connection as described.
By the way, the Nucleus is connected to the network and turned on.
Hello, I’ll be away for three weeks starting tomorrow and may not be able to answer any questions. How can I reactivate your support?

Hi @he.brandt,
Thanks for letting me know, and I hope you have smooth travels!
When you get back, I’d be curious to see if refreshing your Roon Server database may help (this would be a temporary test.) Since you have a known working backup, we can always restore your previous settings after this test.
Steps to follow below:
- Stop RoonServer from running in Nucleus’s WebUI
- Navigate to your Nucleus’ Database Location
- Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
- Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
- Restart the RoonServer in the WebUI to generate a new Database
- On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database
See if you’re able to connect as if you’re running Roon for the first time, and let us know the results. Thank you! ![]()
Hello, what should I do on my Mac? I uninstalled Roon from my Mac. Based on your recommended procedure, I’ve now reinstalled Roon on my Mac. This message now appears on my Mac. What should I do next?
Hello @he.brandt ,
Thanks for letting us know the current status. Looking over our diagnostic info, I don’t see your Nucleus as being active at all. Since you’ve had the Nucleus for short time, I suggest doing a full database reset on the unit to see if this will help. Can you please navigate to the Nucleus Web UI and perform a database + settings reset?

Let us know if this helps!
Thank you for the feedback. I’m currently on a business trip until tomorrow evening. I’ll perform the reset this weekend and get back to you with the results. Helge
Sounds good, we’ll await your reply @he.brandt!![]()
Hi Noris, I performed the reset. Afterward, I had to log in to Roon, and I got a message saying I only had one account and was still authorized with my (previous) iMac. However, I had already deauthorized it several times during other repair attempts. Now I deauthorized it again, and I was able to connect the Nucleus immediately. Guys, it’s working again, and I’m happy. You in support, as well as the guys in the community—thank you so much for your support! Now I’m getting an SSD so I can build my database, but for now, I can enjoy music again! Best regards, Helge
Hello @he.brandt ,
Glad to hear that the issue has been resolved with the database + settings reset, this is wonderful news. I’ll go ahead and mark your case for closeure, happy listening!
