Nucleus One device not connecting to network after initial setup (ref#7D9YRP)

Is Roon Server running?

· No, Roon Server is not running.

For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.

· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.

Describe the issue

I purchased Roon Nucleus One. It connected to my router and network straight away. After four days it has stopped connecting. It is now not showing up as device on the network

Describe your network setup

roon nucleus connected by ethernet to ibiquiti router

Thx for your response. Unfortunately it’s not even showing up now! Extremely weird given it was working great for the first few days.

Hi @Mark_Jaffray ,

If you are able to connect the HMDI cable, it will be the best test to determine if it is a hardware or configuration issue. You can also follow the prompts on our Nucleus troubleshooting form and if needed it can generate an RMA for you:

Thx Norris. So after trying that and some off/ on testing

the hardware seems to be ok. However nothing is coming up on “Roon OS devices on your network” I also cant access the Web UI displayed. it simply times out

Turn off tailscale if you have it running. That IP address is not a normal home private IP address range.

Thanks Daniel, that seems to be the address for the Roon OS Web UI access. I have deleted Tailscale however as very good suggestion. Still doesnt seem to be identified by the roon software although the network picks it up

This isn’t normal, though. 100.110.165.44 is an address reserved for ISPs for their Carrier-Grade NAT (CG-NAT) based on the Internet regulation, RFC6598. I.e., this is not an address that anything on your LAN should have.

You can enter that address here to look it up:

Your LAN devices should have addresses from the private pool, typically 192.168.*.*, but could also be 10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255 or 172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255

Yes I agree. I need Roon Support to confirm what needs to be done as this is simply HDMI from Roon Nucleus One to monitor using HDMI. Software configuration incorrect? If i could log into the Roon OS Web UI then perhaps can reinstall software to fix it but I cant seem to access that UI to make a change

You can try this:

But it may not resolve your issue if this is not a static IP address – you may have to pay attention instead on where you plug the network cable as it would then seem to be connected to a wrong port (and/or you may have to change/revert a router setting).

So everyone on here is awesome!! Appreciate the feedback. Blackjack I followed the network settings reset- attached the keyboard to roon and typed in network reset and… PERFECT… Really appreciate the help!
