I am using a Roon Nucleus One. It recognizes and will connect to my Oppo UDP-205 (hifi system), as well as other endpoints, but not my Oppo UDP-203 (home theater).
The Oppos' firmware is updated. Both Oppos are connected to the internet via an Eero mesh WiFi system. The bandwidth at both locations (per SpeedTest.net) is 200 Mbps or better. The Nucleus One is connected to one of the nodes by Cat 8 ethernet cable. Both Oppos recognize NUCLEUSONE as a network. Both will confirm a network internet connection and ping Oppo for a firmware update. They both confirm that the firmware is current. Oppo support also confirms that I have the most recent firmware.
The Roon app recognizes the UDP-205 as an endpoint, but does not recognize the UDP-203, whether the 205 is powered on or off and whether or not the 205 is disconnected from the network. I have contacted Oppo support but they do not have an answer for this.
What's wrong?
Describe your network setup
My network works fine for all endpoints except the UDP-203. The Nucleus One won't talk to it, other than to admit that it is present. If I click on that network name, a login window appears. It was not necessary to log in to the Nucleus for the UDP-205, or any other endpoints.
Silly question, but did you verify the OPPO is on the same IP subnet?
As a side note: I completely forgot that my OPPO 203 is a Roon Ready device, so had to go turn it on to check it out (its been so long that the remote batteries were corroded and needed cleaning up). Have not used it in a while. LOL It show ups fine for me in Roon.
I did look in the network settings area and there are a few settings in there that you could mess with to see if the make a difference.
Here is how my settings look:
Internet connection (type of connection): ethernet
IP setting: DHCP
proxy setting: off
DB-live: off
media info lookup: off
my network: on
IP control: on
