Number of Tracks in Library
It was 100000, I have just reduced the size of the database, but the same problem persist
Description of Issue
Since moving from my Mac to Nucleus, the roon software is very unreliable, to the point i am stopping using it. The system keeps hanging and restarting saying it is looking for the server.
We can see That your Nucleus has only 4 Gb of RAM.
For large libraries of up to 100k tracks we do recommend having at least 8 GB and if your library is close or over 100k tracks it might be worth installing even 16 Gb of RAM to it.
Building on @alex_h’s response above, the performance problems you’ve described with your Nucleus One are the result of insufficient RAM for the number of library objects contained in your database.
With 4GB of RAM, the Nucleus One will only support a database of about 100,000 tracks before slowdowns and performance problems begin to accumulate. Upgrading the RAM to 8-16GB or above per the help article instructions @alex_h shared above will raise the ceiling for your potential library size with the Nucleus One.
Long-term, if your ideal library size is an order of magnitude above 100k, you may want to investigate eventually upgrading to the Nucleus Titan. A powerful Mac/PC/Linux machine will also suffice - please see our general recommendations for hardware/library size here:
