Describe the issue
I just connected Nucleus One. It is on my android tablet and plays music there. However it will not play on my eversolo dmp 8 or chromecast. I have it usb connected to usb in input on the eversolo. I've tried sources usb in, internal player, optical 2 for the chromecast on the eversolo. What's wrong here? Please advise.
Thanks for reaching out. Just to confirm, you’ve been able to properly enable the zone in Roon Settings → Audio, or how exactly did it remain disabled? Can you please share a few screenshots of what you see when you try to press play? You’ll also need to switch to the USB as the active zone in the bottom left zone-picker, if you haven’t already done so yet.
Now it's worse. Not only can't I play on Eversolo but it's not there on the zones list. Neither is "this tablet". The only thing left is "family room speaker" which is chromecast dongle.
We’re not seeing any recent instances of your Nucleus online and connected to our servers - can you see if you’re able to access the webUI of your Nucleus? Here’s more info on how to do so:
Share a screenshot if at all possible.
Can you provide a bit more information around your network set up as well? If you can, see if you’re able to temporarily set a direct ethernet connection from both your Nucleus to your primary router, and from your Eversolo directly to your router.
Then, see if you experience the same issue - we’ll be monitoring for your reply. Thank you!
Hi, I have done everything and no change. I can’t get the app to find my Eversolo dmp a8. It doesn’t even show the tablet the app is on. I have reset everything. All are connected by ethernet to an Asus mesh system. This is much more difficult to use than I anticipated. Joel
I forgot to mention I’ve been shutting the Nucleus down when I’m not using it. The usb cable is producing quite a noise. I will fix that. Perhaps that’s why you can’t get to the diagnostics.
Well a miracle happened. I deleted app, went to ui and reset everything there for the machine and lo and behold it works perfectly (for now?). By the way I have a chromecast dongle so it does show up as a zone. Joel
We’re glad to hear that everything is working properly again! If you happen to have more issues, just let us know and reference this previous thread. Hopefully though, everything will work as expected moving forward!
