Nucleus One not recognizing attached SSDs (ref#XX2DHX)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· I have been using my room nucleus one with an attached external HDD. I have inserted a working SSD, but Room doesn't recognise/ acknowledge it. It just doesn't appear, no matter what instructions I follow. I have tried several different SSDs and Rron won't recognise any as being attached

Tell us about your home network

· The nucleus one is connected to the Toob router via a cat 6 cable.

What’s the file system on these SSDs?

Hello @Gary_Hedges ,

Thanks for reaching out. Was the hard drive you inserted formatted as NTFS? IF so:

  • Connect it to a Windows PC
  • Open Command Prompt on a Windows PC
  • Type chkdsk d: /f (assuming windows has assigned the external drive D)
  • Safely eject the drive from Windows task bar (icon may be hidden in the bottom right)
  • Connect drive again to main Roon Server
  • Verify if issue is resolved
