Nucleus One or Roon Supported Asus NUC

I am new to Roon and trying to decide on a server. What is the primary benefit of the NUC/Rock compared to the less expensive Nucleus One?

An ASUS NUC utilises a more capable processor, e.g. Intel i3 or i7, than the Nucleus One’s Celeron, and may be fitted with memory more suited to the size of your library. Also, unlike the One, it has slots for two memory modules.

In contrast, the One is pre-configured and suitable for libraries of up to 100,000 tracks.

If you go down the ROCK route, you will need basic PC assembly skills, including BIOS setup and OS installation.

The ability to use a more open Operating System. ROCK is closed, there is no option to monitor the hardware to know if something is amiss. Running the same RoonServer on Linux, or Windows, or MacOS gives you more options, imho.

Thanks for your response. I am currently evaluating Roon on a Windows 11 PC. I can see it would be easy to hit that 100,000 track limit.
