For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.
· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.
Describe the issue
New Nucleus One yesterday. I installed a 1TB SSD, started Nucleus One and all was good. This morning I moved all my music to the installed SSD. Everything was great until I tried to set a static IP address. At that point the screen froze and none of the remotes was able to connect. The Nucleus did not appear on available network devices. I installed Fing and the address did not appear. I pinged the IP address and nothing. I restarted the Nucleus One, changed ethernet cables, restarted the mesh network and finally connected an HDMI cable from the Nucleus to my TV. The original IP address, 192.186.**. 99, was still shown on the screen. I'm out of possible solutions. Is there a way to do a factory reset without being able to login.
Describe your network setup
Deco 6E mesh into a switch. Nucleus One into same switch
This is to be expected since devices were accessing the Nucleus using the original IP address. However, the IP address shown on the screen via HDMI is that which is currently assigned. This should be on the same subnet as the PC used to access Roon.
I note that the IP address, 192.186.n.99, is not typical for a private network. Typically, devices should be using 192.168.n.n. You should also use DHCP on your router to assign an IP address, including address reservations.
Please confirm that the Nucleus, your router, and PC use the same subnet, and that the router can see the Nucleus.
Welcome to the forum! I am looking over your account and it looks like I was able to enable diagnostics for your Nucleus One and it responded to a diagnostic request successfully. I’m looking over the logs and everything looks fairly normal. Have you been able to restore the connection following your message using the network reset command? Is the connection issue only happening from one Roon remote?
