I would like to turn off the white led light of my nucleus without turning off the device. The white light is pretty annoying in the evening/night in the living room…
I did the same to my Roon Rock PC.
I stuck a soft rubber cap over the button with removable adhesive. It’s still operable, but the light is off. Caps are available in different sizes.
That’s even better. 
But I would choose a white one, if there is any. Because this would dim the LED significantly but still allow me to see the light so that I know the server is working.
