Description of Issue
Neither iPhone nor iPad can connect to Roon.
This is the second time this has happened in less than a year.
Nucleus plus dead. Will not connect.
Moderator Edit: Addition information from Thomas …
I turned on my system after a couple of weeks of not listening to it and it suggested there was an update. When I clicked on updating the Nucleus, it tells me it can’t find the core. The unit failed a year or so ago and looks like it has again. There are no screens to look at nor any other way to access it. The only thing it asks me as whether or not I want to switch to a different core.
Apparently your dealer, superior audio systems, said at the time that he would take care of it.
Then he will surely know what hardware defect it was, what was replaced and whether the unit is still under warranty?
Following up on @Axel_Lesch’s note, were you able to get in touch with your dealer? I’m sorry to hear you’ve run into issues again so quickly after getting it repaired.
Thanks for reaching out. I have contacted my dealer who has spoken to the local rep who supposedly is working on an RMA. It’s been about a week. Really not impressed by Roon’s customer service. Or their manufacturing skills.
Apologies for the slow response here, I was able to locate your previous RMA and have re-opened it. I will follow up via private message to confirm the shipping details are still correct, thanks!
Since this is the second time the unit has failed, I am concerned that there is an upstream problem that is causing a downstream failure. I think it reasonable to get a new unit. I am concerned that a repaired unit will fail in another year at which point it is out of warranty. Thanks for considering.
