Nucleus+ Rev B not booting

Roon Core Machine

Nucleus Rev. B

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Ethernet, Ubiquity switches/router, that’s about it!

Connected Audio Devices

6 NAD CI 720 Amps, over ethernet.

Number of Tracks in Library

Nothing stored on device, connected to NAS with library and TIDAL.

Description of Issue

Well, it would appear my Nucleus won’t boot!
From the hardware side: Power button is illuminated when pressed, ethernet indicator lights become more active. About 3 seconds later the power button light disappears entirely, ethernet lights go out, then return to a steady state that would be consistent with whenever the device is powered off. No HDMI output from ports A or B.
From the software side: Roon client cannot see Nucleus, nor does it appear as an active device on the network (doesn’t show up under an IP scan). Can’t access the web admin ui or much of anything else.

There isn’t much for me to work with here - the only thing I might be able to do is flash the firmware, but that doesn’t seem possible from a hardware level. Just curious to see if this might be anything other than a catastrophic hardware failure.

Thanks in advance!

Among other things, not getting an HDMI signal is a bad sign.

Still under the 2 year warrant and where did you buy it will be the questions @support will ask. (I just tagged them)

Hi @Gordon_Graham,

@xxx and you are both correct. The lack of HDMI output is indeed a bad sign.

I am going to send you a private message and mark this thread as resolved.

Thank you @xxx for assisting.

Regards,
Wes
