Nucleus Rev. B not responding, power button light off, Ethernet lights on (ref#546Y01)

Is Roon Server running?

· No, Roon Server is not running.

For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.

· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.

Describe the issue

I have Nucleus (rev. B). The Server is not responding and the light of the power on / off button is not visible, still, the lights from the Ethernet connection are both on.

Describe your network setup

I use a fiber optic line directly connected to the Nucleus (rev b) and for wifi I use Google equipment. I also was using PSAudio AirLens.

Hi @francisco_amador,
Thanks for writing in to ask us about this issue. Can you please connect the Nucleus to a computer monitor or TV via HDMI and send us a picture of what you see on the screen? This will help us figure out whether there is a hardware issue at fault.

I also removed the image you added to your post since it showed the serial number of your Nucleus.

Hi Daniel - Thanks for the assistance! I tried connecting to a tv with more than one hdmi cables and the tv showed both a “no signal” message and “device not detected” message.

Hi @francisco_amador,

Try this, just to ensure this is an actual hardware issue:

  1. Connect the Nucleus to the power connecter and plug the unit it. Power it on and wait thirty seconds, regardless of whether the power light illuminates.

  2. Next, plug the HDMI output into the TV or a computer monitor again.

  3. Try powering the unit on again with it plugged into the TV/monitor if you continue to see the “no device” screen you just shared.

Please let us know the outcome of this test - we’ll provide follow-up instructions as soon as we see a response. Thank you!

Hi Connor - Yes, it shows the same message on both trials. Thanks in advance.
