Description of Issue

There is a delay between tracks, ofter there is considerable delay as the album/track cannot be found.

Most any input (Search) takes several minutes to process. There is just a lot of latency in playback.

This just started in the last couple of days.

Hello @Michael_Stone ,

Thank you for the report here. Can you please confirm if you have rebooted your Nucleus recently? If not, can you please try to do so? You can do this in the Web UI:

Does the issue occur only when using one Roon Remote or does it happen on multiple remotes? What is your ISP’s advertised network speed?

I have rebooted the server several times. I thought at first I had a WiFi issue (between the server and wireless speakers). The nucleus server, bluesound node are connected via Ethernet cables.

I have 4 zones running. Some times it runs well. Then gets a lot of latency. (Slow to go from track to track. The music stops while’s it is looking for the next track. It does this with both Quobus sources and tracks that are on the nucleus hard drive.

Mike

I am getting 197 Mbps upload and 151 Mbps download.

Mike

The issues are occurring with the remote on both my phone and iPad.

So, I used the administrative function to “clean” up the dB. The system seems to be working better. However, when I try to look at the track queue, the music playback stalls until the queue is refreshed. Still feels like the server is being over burdened.

Hi @Michael_Stone,

Thanks for the update! Based on the recent review of your server diagnostics, I believe you are experiencing known issues related to search for which development is busy merging a fix.

The good news here is that you should see significant improvement with search and RoonServer performance in the next several releases.

I don’t have any immediate next steps until then, unfortunately. Do you experience the same performance issues when using Arc?
