I had set the nucleus to shuffle my library. After 2-3 hours of playtime, the nucleus stopped playing files. A new file would load, hang there without playing, and after a few seconds would load a new file which in turn refuse to play. And so on.

In the end, I disconnected the nucleus from power, restarted and things have done back to normal. I did notice that the files that refused to play do not show in the history page.

I would like to be sure this doesn’t happen again.

Any thoughts?

Hi @Alan_Pearson,

  • Was the McIntosh the only zone was impacted by this behavior - did other zones continue to work as expected?

  • What kind of content were you playing, was it local library content or streaming content from Qobuz/TIDAL?

I was playing local library content (internal 2tb Samsung evo ssd).

I did not think to try other zones while the problem was occurring.

Hi @Alan_Pearson,

If this issue re-occurs (hopefully it won’t though), can you please check to see if other zones are impacted or if it is just the McIntosh? If you could also provide the exact local time + date + track if the issue re-occurs, we can take a look at diagnostics as well if needed and diagnostics will hopefully provide more context towards the issue.
