· roon shows 5,429 tracks in Nucleus whereas yesterday there were 15,000 tracks. I have unplugged Nucleus for 15+ minutes a couple of times which worked in the past when this happend but not now. i will attach 3 photos to show how it looks as follows:
Tell us about your home network
· Xfinity internet. Nucleus with HDMI to Bluesound Powernode 2. Wifi to Nucleus. Server at 10.0.0.223
If the internal storage becomes temporarily unavailable or disconnected, Roon will hide the tracks from that location, which can result in a sudden drop in the total track count.
Based on your description and the fact that the internal drive is not visible in our diagnostic report, this may indicate a hardware failure of the externall SATA drive.
We recommend removing the drive and connecting it to a different computer, then checking its health using any available HDD/SSD diagnostic or SMART testing software to confirm whether the drive is still detected and functioning correctly.
Please let us know the results once you’ve had a chance to test it.
No problem - the best next step here is to get in touch with our RMA department directly, as they’re in charge of all hardware-related Nucleus issues. To do so, open the Typeform link below and select ‘Other’ followed by 'This issue is related to a physical component".
I unplugged my Nucleus both from the connection on the back of the Nucleus and the power strip for 30 minutes. I also opened the Nucleus and made sure all the SATA connevtions were tight. When I plugged both connections back in the Internal Storage reappeared. So problem solved for now.
My Nucleus thread was as follows: IP Address>Data>Storage>Internal Storage>Roon Imports>Mac_mini> (then all my music files stored on the server). I moved 'Internal Storage" (and the reminder of the thread following it) to right after “Storage”. I think the other thread which included the Mac folder was there because awhike ago pre-Nucleus purchase I used my Mac as my roon server. I think making the thread simpler also helped.
