So my Nucleus+ Rev B has this problem. If i disconnected the HDMI it will boot perfectly then i can connect the HDMI again and it works. But if i reboot it with the HDMI connected to my TV or Marantz it wont boot up. I read some other people had similar issues and fixed it with a BIOS update… but i cannot find any info on how to update it. I bought my Nucleus in Thailand from a seller almost 2 years ago i don’t think it was an official seller. I’d rather do the update my self.
Thanks for the report. When this issue happens, is there anything being displayed on the HDMI output of the TV? Can you please use these instructions to manually access your Nucleus RoonServer logs, upload a set to the below link and let us know once uploaded? Thanks!
If the HDMI is connected before I turn on the Nucleus, it won’t boot up at all, and nothing is displayed on the TV. Also, it won’t show up on my local network. The only way is to disconnect the HDMI from the Nucleus, which will boot up perfectly. Anyway, I will look into the log, but I suspect there will be no log of this event since the machine never booted up when connected to the HDMI.
I suspect @noris is waiting for your logs - it’s not clear whether you’ve sent any? Your point about the logs not being able to reveal anything may well be valid, but Roon Labs will still want to investigate them.
Can you post a link to this information? I don’t recall these particular posts, only that it is possible to disable the HDMI in the BIOS settings. Thanks.
Unfortunately we’re not seeing any logs sent on our end. Could you please resend them over to our File Uploader?
This is a tricky situation indeed. What happens if you hold F2 during the reboot process, and quickly plug the HDMI cable back in quickly after the Nucleus is powering up?
