Description of Issue
When using the Filter search option to filter any view based on a numeric value, such as searching for any live album that has “1988” in the title, the search string is returning more than just what’s searched for. Searching “1988” in my library returns strings like this:
1988/07/03
1984/08/05
1980/12/28
I’ve tried explicitly searching with quotes, "1988" but that returns no results. I would expect the results to return only values where “1988” exists in its entirety.
I see this in any view where I’d search for a number, such as Albums or Tags, but I’m not seeing the same when searching non-numeric strings, eg searching a string like “lite” will only return values that contain the entire string, like “Little”, “De-Lite”, etc.
Example:
I would think only the first two options should be returned.
It’s great to see you on the Roon Community! You have my apologies for the delayed response here, we’ve been dealing with a higher-than-usual volume following our release and we’re working as quickly as we can to get back to everyone.
Following up on this thread, are you still experiencing this issue on the newest Roon build?
I have the same Springsteens and other albums with the issue. I corrected it by renaming the albums. Try renaming these. Go to the albums, hit edit, under album title click the copy button and then edit the title to what I’ve suggested below.
