Hi, For some reason my Nvidia Shield got disabled/forgotten… and when i re-enabled it i forgot what i had as name for the endpoint. Now it is treated as a new device and the queue is completely new. I can still retrieve what was played in the last few days (on the global history tab), but it doesn’t show what device played what queues (everything is just listed). is there a way to re-gain initial state of the endpoint ? maybe by re-naming it as exactly it was ? if so, how can i retrieve the exact name ?
Otherwise, can i isolate the old queue of this device and transfer it’s (new version) self ? ( i can plug a dummy endpoint, transfer that queue, and then transfer it again to the Shield.
Hi @Sky-Watsher,
Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. Sorry to read that you lost your queue. The only thing I can think of that might restore your queue is restoring a backup made while you had that queue. Please let us know if that helps.
If you restore the backup, the queue theoretically should be restored. The queue names are saved in your Roon Database Location/RoonServer/Database/Registry/Core folder. You can try to look there to see if you can find any remnants of the zone cached name in one of those files (if you open with a text editor such as Notepad++). Keep in mind that getting back a queue may not be possible without a backup though.
