On Android app, can't enable mobile phone as audio device

Hello,

I am using Synology NAS as roon server. On my android Roon Remote (v2.60 build 1629), I can not enable the audio device through its Settings→Audio option. I tried to restart my NAS, AP, modem, nothing works.

Any suggestions?

Is your Roon Server an earlier build than version 2.60? If so, then your issue is being caused by an incompatibility between Roon clients version 2.60 and earlier versions of Roon Server. See:

Roon Bridge 2.60 (build 1501) Production with EA Roon Server - Early Access - Roon Labs Community

Either update your Roon Server to version 2.60 (Production) or, if you are running Early Access builds of Roon Server, wait until Roon Labs release a new Early Access version.

Hello @Yasmina_Lee,

We can see that your Roon Server is running on Early Access version 2.59, while your phone is on the 2.60 Production version.

Please find instructions on how to leave the Early Access version here: Roon Early Access Program and update your Roon Server to match the version of your phone app.

Thanks.

Hi @Yasmina_Lee,

Diagnostics show you’re still in a mixed-branch environment.

Your RoonServer will need to be on the same branch as your phone for playback to function, along with other essential Roon services. Please follow the instructions shared above to either migrate your server to the public branch or your phone to the Early Access branch.
