I have a client with two systems. He has one iPad in each room. Everything works perfectly when using one or the other iPad. However, if he attempts to connect with second iPad, it won’t and the original connected iPad will also loose connection. He has to shut down one to use the other.
This is not a Roon issue i suspect.
I have two iPads and one or two iPhones constantly connected to my Core. They all update and behave perfectly.
Can you make sure that ghere are no ip address conflicts and that all devices are present on the same network?
He can have his iMac, iPhone and one iPad open at the same time. All units, hardware and apple products are up to date, all on the same network. Everything was fine until after the Roon software update we did yesterday. His core sits on a Grimm MU2.
Thanks! This does not make any sense… !?!
Roon Remote is up to date on all devices?
I don’t know if the Grimm Roon Server implementation limits connections or adds any layer to the server security or such though.
Are these iPads identical?
Was the second iPad cloned? Then it might look to Roon like the same one and it gets confused. Did you try uninstalling Roon and reinstalling from the App Store from scratch?
Hey @Mark_Jones1,
Thanks for writing in!
@Suedkiez may be on the right track here with the above comment. Any backup software like TimeMachine used to duplicate one iPad to another would likely cause the behavior you see. Let us know if this is the case and we can get you some proper next steps.
