I have a few late 2012 mac mini’s from my business that have been decommissioned, so I’m using them for audio in my house.
I set one up as the Roon Core. Works great. It lives down in my server/utility room away from my listening space.
Then, in a couple of listening spaces, I’m using Mac mini’s running Roon Bridge as the endpoints. Again, might be overkill, but I don’t need them for anything else.
All have SSD’s, but that’s where the modifications end.
So, if you were going to upgrade one of them with a Linear Power Supply, or DC Fan conversion, or other audio-friendly modification, would you benefit more if the CORE mini was modified? Or the BRIDGE mini?
Not saying I’m gonna run out and do these, as it sounds great as is, but I’m just curious which Mac would benefit more.
