One of the not so little ways Roon rocks

Having used JRiver for some time I was always annoyed at having to change settings to optimize sound when going from hi res content to std res and vice versa. The wrong settings for a given type of content could send a howl through my system.

Now, it could be that I never learned how to set up JRiver properly but I worked on it quite a bit and could not find a simple, intuitive way to play content of different resolution transparently.

What I love about Roon is that a DSD track can play before or after a a FLAC 44-16 track without audio setting changes being needed. Simply set up the audio driver properly to my Burson DAC’s maximum sample rate and forget about it.

The ease of changing audio drivers, switching for example from a WASAPI to an ASIO, is also very much appreciated.
