Oppo 205 Replacement

I currently have a NUC with ROCK which feeds into the USB port of an OPPO 205 which then ports sound via analog to my amp and a video of the album playing to my LG TV via HDMI.

I will be moving my Oppo 205 to our vacation home which leaves a void in my system since the Oppo 205 is being used as a preamp.

I will be purchasing a home theater processor (Marantz AV10) to increase overall number of inputs for new equipment to replace the Oppo 205 unit.

The home theater processor appears not to be Roon Ready which means it will play at some limited resolution on Airplay if I plug the NUC directly into it.

Does this mean I would no longer see what music is playing on my LG TV or would I still get the visual display?

Hi, hopefully Maranz will update AV10 and make it Roon Ready. They have had some progress with other devices.

Now I use external PC or Google streamer and Roon uses those.

I hope they do. Really do not want to purchase separate streamer as that seems redundant.

AV10 was in the beginning of 2024 roon ready but not certified by roon. So there was roon inside the firmware even if it was not working.

Now the roon ready has been disappeared.

If you have Google TV, you can stream also directly into your TV. Maybe the other TVs are also ok even if my roon can’t connect to Samsung TV.
