Hello Roon Team,
First of all, thank you for creating such an exceptional music platform. Roon has become the heart of my listening experience, and I truly appreciate the passion and craftsmanship behind it.
I’d like to make a sincere request that I believe has become increasingly important.
Please consider adding a native option to filter out AI-generated music.
AI-generated tracks are appearing more and more often in Roon Radio and recommendations. While I respect that some listeners enjoy this content, I—and many others in the community—have absolutely no interest in having it mixed into our music discovery.
Please give us the choice.
A simple option such as “Hide AI-generated music” or “Exclude AI-generated content” would allow users to enjoy Roon exactly as they want. When enabled, Roon would simply skip albums and tracks identified as AI-generated across Radio, recommendations, Daily Mixes, and other discovery features. Those who want AI music could leave the option disabled.
This isn’t about banning AI music or limiting anyone else’s preferences. It’s about respecting the preferences of users who specifically want to discover and listen to music created by human artists.
The fact that the community has already developed an AI Music Recognition extension clearly demonstrates that there is real demand for this feature. A native implementation would be far more reliable, accurate, and accessible to everyone.
I sincerely hope the Roon team will consider making this a priority. Giving users control over AI-generated content would be a meaningful improvement to the listening experience and one that many of us would greatly appreciate.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this request.
