Original server ID persists on Roon ARC server list, login issues prevent disconnection (ref#AL00ER)

Thanks for reaching out.

As a first step, could you please try fully reinstalling the Roon ARC app on your mobile device? This will clear any locally cached server and authentication data that may be causing the old Server ID to persist in the server list.

Steps:

  1. Uninstall Roon ARC
  2. Reboot your phone
  3. Reinstall Roon ARC from the App Store / Play Store
  4. Launch ARC and sign in again

If the old Server ID still appears after reinstalling, it should also expire and disappear automatically after some time, as mentioned above.

Please let us know how it goes.

The Server ID isn’t cached locally: confirmed when opening a brand new installation of ARC on devices I own that never previously had ARC installed, and the old server ID still popped up like shown in the image. So deleting the app instance on my primary device didn’t resolve anything.

Thanks for letting us know! Can you please also safely stop Roon Server from running, and reboot both your server machine as well as your primary router?

Hi @Daniel_Hybiak,

Try logging into your Roon account page in a browser and terminating any active session you see on any devices. It might not help - the list of previously authorized servers for ARC is retained at the account level for ARC.

@Suedkiez is correct that this is a harmless but misleading UI artifact - in cases where a user has simply migrated or spun up a fresh server instance, it’s quite confusing.

ARC will eventually forget the association with the old server instance. This shouldn’t take more than a few days, with a maximum of about fourteen.
