Sometimes I’ll be in a record store and wanting to get a physical copy of an album I’ve been streaming. I whip out my phone and fire up Arc only to get the dreaded message ‘There’s an issue with your Roon server’. I do appreciate there are multiple variables that need to work in order for Arc to operate as designed, but in those moments where I want access to my library I could use a backup plan.
My feature request is that I can access my library and all its playlists (especially Listen Later, which I love), when I’m out and about. The files don’t have to be playable, and it’s at that point where Roon could say it needs access to the server, but as I understand it the cloud has the playlists and library metadata. It would be super helpful for my visual memory to be able to access that in a moment where I need to recall a specific album I’ve been looking for.
A bonus of this one is that if we’re remote and Arc isn’t playing ball, we have a way to refresh our memories and simply stream from Qobuz/Tidal whatever it is we want to listen to.
Good compromise? I know I’d definitely find that useful. Thanks for considering!
