If you select a sub-genre, there’s no indication at the top-level that one of the sub-genres is selected.
It’s a pretty common UI pattern to show some sort of partial / grayed out check mark for the top level item, if one or more of its sub-items are checked.
I encounter this when I’m looking at the overview page, and click on one of the genres, then “all albums” in that genre. Now I’m on the albums focus page with a genre focused, but no indication where in the hierarchy it is.
