A Roon Extension for parties: guests request music from their phone, no app needed.
Let your guests pick the music. They scan a QR code with their phone, search your Roon
library and streaming services, and add tracks to the party’s queue. No app to install, no
Roon account, and no access to anything else in your Roon setup.
Guests add, play next or skip tracks from their phone.
Fair shares: limit how many of each a guest gets, with more earned back over time.
Names on tracks: guests can give a nickname, shown next to the tracks they add (or
“Anon” if they’d rather not).
The Party Hub for a TV or tablet: QR code, what’s playing and the whole queue.
Up next and Played lists, so everyone can see what’s coming and what’s been on.
Keep the party’s playlist: download everything that was queued as a spreadsheet
file, ready to import into a music service.
In their language: the guest pages and the Party Hub follow each phone’s or
screen’s language, or one you choose for the Hub in the settings, in 30 languages. The translations were generated by AI, so apologies for any errors; corrections
from native speakers are welcome.

Updated logic on matching duplicates already in the queue
New defaults for guests: Skipping disabled, each guest can add 5 tracks to start, earning one back every 10 minutes (was 10, every 2 minutes), and play next once an hour (was every 20 minutes). Settings you’ve already saved in Roon stay as they are.
Clearer configuration and pause/unpause actions in Roon ( Settings → Extensions → Party Mode → Settings ).
Party host name setting, your name, in place of Host on the tracks you queue
and skip in Roon, and in the playlist download. Left blank, it’s “Host” in each guest’s language.
Party Hub language setting in Roon: choose the Party Hub’s language for every screen showing it, handy for a TV whose browser is hard to set. Automatic (the default) follows the screen’s browser, as before. Guests’ phones still follow their own.
Hide names in downloadable playlist setting, under Advanced: the playlist download credits every guest’s track to Anon instead of their name. Roon Radio and Host stay.
Here are some screenshots of the two screens you and guests interact with.
