Party mode progress?

Has there been any progress made on a Party mode where users can only add to the queue or play next? This would be a great feature to have, especially if it was on a per interface basis. This would give the host of the party the ability to have ultimate control while still leaving a separate interface available for the party.

It would also be nice if the owner could limit the focus of the locked interface to specific genres, playlists, or other filters.

I thought we might start a new thread Jeffrey, because the old one pre-dates the changes to Play and could cause confusion.

Let’s flag @Brian2 and see if he has any update on this popular request.
